I was born in Mary Esther in 1958 when State Highway 98 was just a two lane road. I graduated from Fort Walton Beach High School in 1976 and then from The University of Florida in 1980. I went on to fly for 10 years in the military followed by 22 years flying for Homeland Security. After a career outside of Florida, I retired in Mary Esther, leaving two daughters attending graduate schools in Texas. Mary Esther has always been our home. My wife and I currently live on the same property I grew up on. I was fortunate to be appointed the Mayor of Mary Esther 2016-2018. As Mayor, I worked hard to serve the citizens of Mary Esther. I gained valuable insights into the needs of our community and city during this time. I enjoy living in a small community where people are friendly and know each other. That’s why I love Mary Esther.
