[ARCHIVED] The City of Mary Esther Celebrates Florida City Government Week

The City of Mary Esther will be joining cities throughout the state in celebrating Florida City Government Week, October 18-24, 2021.

“Florida City Government Week is an opportunity to help our residents become more informed about the many services we provide, which will lead to more knowledgeable citizen participation in the future,” said Mayor Margaret McLemore. “We are excited about this year’s activity and hope to engage children, adults, our military servicemembers, residents and guests in our upcoming event.”

Florida City Government Week, sponsored by the Florida League of Cities, is a weeklong celebration that raises awareness about the importance of municipal government and its daily impact on residents. The League is the official organization of the municipal governments in Florida.

On Saturday, October 23rd, the City will hold an Ice Cream Social at the Library from 1-3 PM.  Flavors, toppings, syrups, and sprinkles will abound. Information about the City, businesses, bears, and more will be available. This will be a great way to engage with our community in a fun but informative way.
