[ARCHIVED] Damage Assessment Underway

City staff is in the process of conducting an initial damage assessment from Hurricane Sally. To date, we have documented the following: 

  • Street flooding on Bryn Mawr Boulevard, Sussex Road, Stonehenge Drive, Brian Circle, South Lorraine Drive, and Mary Esther Drive
  • Downed trees and limbs at the Jesse Rogers Memorial Cemetery, Oak Tree Park, and in the right-of-way near Bryn Mawr Boulevard and Blackstone Road, Bryn Mawr Boulevard and Hollywood Boulevard, Argyle Court and Avon Lane
  • Vegetative debris in the street right-of-way citywide

Water and sewer utilities remain operational, although several facilities are on emergency back-up generators. Staff and our contractors will continue to assess storm damage to our buildings and infrastructure over the next week.
